About Stage Hypnosis Training and Courses

Stage hypnosis is one of the most rewarding fields of study and, at the same time, it can be one of the most difficult.   Hypnosis schools and stage hypnosis training programs can be very expensive, and most seminars occur in big cities like Las Vegas or London, or at annual conferences, like the Hypnoticon.org convention, now held twice each year in Atlanta and California.

Aside from live training events, stage hypnosis education is also available on DVD and through textbooks and instant-downloadable e-books. There are a few publishers of complete A-Z video training programs, but many of these sets are priced outside the budget of the average student.

However, Hypnosis Superstars Michael Johns, Terry Stokes and John Cerbone have teamed with Richard Nongard to produce several affordable 'by subject' stage hypnosis training DVDs.  These step-by-step, easy to follow educational video courses, complete with actual demonstrations, focus on induction, pre-talk, phenomena, skits and other elements of creating a successful stage show. 

Stage hypnotism classes that focus on learning the basic strategies for rapid inductions and even street hypnosis are also extremely popular these days.  Richard Nongard and John Cerbone's instant induction training video set called “Speed Trance” is a favorite of those on the cutting edge. Even magicians and mentalists are now beginning to integrate speed trance hypnosis into their magic acts and illusion shows, with great success.

Learning how to do a successful stage hypnosis show requires mastering several different very important concepts. Any good stage hypnosis class should teach the following key elements:

• How to Choose, Develop and Manage Stage Hypnosis Skits & Routines

Classes in stage hypnosis that include these elements will go a long way at helping the beginner to build confidence, learn effective techniques and start to really impress an audience. And, even for the professional, taking a course that offers a new approach or strategy can help spice up an existing show, or take it in a new, exciting direction.

Practicing stage hypnosis is another difficult task, but with help from family and friends, one can begin to master basic induction strategies, timing, and learning to develop a commanding voice and stage persona.  Stage hypnotists often practice with stuffed animals on the couch as mock participants, and this is a great idea for those just starting out.  The key is to just practice, practice, practice - recite your patter while cooking breakfast or driving to work. Practice hypnotizing anything and everything around you, as if it were a real subject, until you are comfortable with the language, movements and develop your own personal presentation style.

The rewards of performing stage hypnosis shows are intense; audience accolades, a feeling of success and making people feel good wll make you feel good, too!   

You can  learn stage hypnosis form a class, a textbook, a DVD, a mentorship program, or any combination of these methods.  The more training you have from various sources, the more knowledge you will have to help create a successful show.

One other strategy is to learn clinical hypnosis and become certified in clinical hypnotherapy.  This will provide a depth to your understanding of the amazing effectiveness of hypnosis in a variety of scenarios, and really help you to master the powerful demonstrations of hypnoticphenomena that make a show so special.
